ANXIETY

Anxiety often develops as a way to navigate high expectations, responsibilities, and life’s uncertainties. Many high-achievers and professionals have relied on anxiety to stay motivated and excel, but when it becomes overwhelming or constant, it can take a toll on your well-being. You might find yourself overthinking, struggling with perfectionism, or feeling on edge even when things are going well. Physically, anxiety can show up as tension, restlessness, trouble sleeping, or a racing heart.

In therapy, we’ll work together to help you break free from these patterns, develop coping tools, and create a sense of balance so anxiety no longer runs your life.

TRAUMA

Trauma can deeply affect how you perceive yourself, others, and the world around you. Whether from childhood experiences, unhealthy relationships, or a significant event, the effects can show up in many ways, including anxiety, self-doubt, and feeling stuck in a constant state of alert. For those experiencing PTSD, this may also include flashbacks, nightmares, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, or being easily startled.

In therapy, we will work together to process and heal these experiences, helping you regain a sense of safety, control, and peace in your life, while learning to break free from the emotional and physical toll trauma can have.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based approach that helps process distressing memories and experiences that may be keeping you stuck. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, or negative self-beliefs, EMDR can help you reprocess and reframe these memories, reducing their emotional charge. Through bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, we can help your brain reprocess difficult experiences, allowing you to heal and move forward.

I offer EMDR as a powerful tool to help you break free from the patterns that keep you from living a fulfilling life, offering you lasting relief and empowerment.

LATINX MENTAL HEALTH

As a Latina therapist, I understand the unique challenges and cultural factors that influence mental health within the Latinx community. From navigating family expectations and generational pressures to balancing cultural identities, these experiences can shape how we view ourselves and interact with the world. For many first-generation individuals, issues such as immigration stress, cultural adaptation, and the pressure to succeed can create additional layers of stress and anxiety. Setting healthy boundaries with family, managing the weight of high expectations, and dealing with the complexities of immigration can all contribute to emotional strain.

In therapy, I provide a culturally responsive and non-judgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll work towards healing and empowerment, while honoring your identity and experiences.
